2025 – Facility Management / Custom fields / Calendar Tags

The year 2025 marks the start of an exciting new chapter for us! We have introduced a completely new technology stack, paving the way for faster, smarter, and more flexible development.

Our first module, Facility Management, is now live. This module allows you to schedule and manage any type of resource, with the main use cases including:

  • Dressing rooms
  • Pitches
  • Buses
  • Meeting rooms
  • And more

In addition to Resource Management, we’ve introduced Custom Fields, enabling you to add tailored data to any calendar appointment.

We’ve also added the ability to link Tags to calendar appointments. Tags allow you to override default colors and enhance your workflow with advanced calendar filtering options.

Our new module, FacilityManagement, is a highly flexible and versatile tool.
It has been developed using our new technology stack, while remaining fully compatible (for now) with the existing SoccerLAB platform.

The purpose of the module is to use the “Facilities” for bookings and planning, ea, Dressing Rooms and Pitches.

You can create as many Facilities as you like:

You can now create your own Tag Categories and Tags, and link them directly to calendar events.

Assign a color to any tag, and it will automatically override the default appointment type color for that event.

This has been one of the most requested features in the past, and it’s now available for everyone.

Use the ADVANCED filtering inside the Calendar to find appointments in relation to your TAGS

Having the new option to create Custom Fields and link those to a Calendar appointment gives enormous additional power.
You can link multiple types of questions to any of the Calendar Events.

Besides the above new options, we have also adjusted some existing features.

We have improved the pop-up to add a player to a Training session or to a Game.

Game

When you import Games via the KNVB/Sportlink import, then the LOCATION is also imported.
And we run a script once a day to UPDATE the final score of a Game.

In relation to this, the LOCATION inside a game is now in sync with the STADIUM if you add or adjust the Stadium.

The Stadium is always leading in relation to the location, so if you overwrite the Location manually, the Stadium will NOT be adjusted.

When you need to import a big list of players, some additional details are not optional to fill in inside the template.

  • Gender
  • Prefered foot
  • Salution
  • Initials
  • Hand

To prevent users from making mistakes when switching over the season, we have blocked the option to change a SEASON one’s a Seasonal team is saved.

Power BI reports created by you can now be embedded next to the default SoccerLAB reports.

In addition to this, we made it possible to also define Row Level Security (RLS).

So reports created by your own data team can be shown in any SoccerLAB dashboard and on top the role privileges are taken into account.

Inside the setting of the widget, you can now define which TEMPLATE to prefill when starting a new report from the player profile page.

Improved club personnel filtering: Added optional search by technical staff categories (previously limited to general technical staff only), enabling more targeted searches.

We now sort the TYPE of Guardian (Mother / Father / Etc) within the same column

If a Doctor or Paramedic has left your organisation, from now on, we also do not show those profiles anymore within:

  • Medical Diary
  • Administration → Doctor and Paramedic search

If a report template contains OBLIGATED fields, we now show the details of which ones still need to be filled in when trying to SAVE.
