Willem II invests in SoccerLAB technology

TILBURG, NETHERLANDS – Willem II signed in for a 5-year partnership with SoccerLAB. Match and training data of all players and teams are centralized, analyzed, and visualized with the application. Willem II is using the solution at all sports departments at both the academy and the first team.

Joris Mathijsen, Technical Director– Willem II

‘Data has become very important in professional sports over the years’, says technical director Joris Mathijsen. ‘With SoccerLAB we combine data with our subjective analyses and scouting reports. Coaches and players have access to specific data and will use it for the development of the individual and the team.
SoccerLAB gives us insights into the scouting flows, training, medical and performance status. This long-term cooperation contributes to the professionalization and continuity of the club.’

Bastiaan Riemersma, Academy Director – Willem II

‘Also our Academy will start working with the application’. says Bastiaan Riemersma, Academy Director: ‘The platform supports us in the individual development of our players. The data enables our coaches and analysts to make very detailed analyses of both the team and individual development. ‘

Koen Beyen, CCO – SoccerLAB

‘Willem II chooses for five-year cooperation, reflecting their long-term vision. We are happy to be a part of these continuous developments.’

Since 2008, SoccerLAB is a Player and Data Intelligence Platform that can be used by all technical departments – like coaching, scouting, medical, and performance – where all objective and subjective data is centralized and can be analyzed and visualized.

The platform is used worldwide by federations and clubs like BVB Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, Atletico Paranaense, AZ Alkmaar, KRC Genk, Club Brugge KV, and dozens of others.

SoccerLAB is a product of Quesd NV, with sister products focusing on multisports (Panega Sports) and tennis (TennisLife).
